34/40 X-Ray machine

This device is a portion of an x-ray machine was used by physician, Dr. G. Fremont Knowles at his offices formerly located at 405 River Street.

 

As the family story goes, at that point in time, protection against x-rays via lead shielding was not employed and Dr. Knowles eventually passed away as a result of this.
