37/40 Dresser

The dresser on display is part of a full bedroom set that was donated by David Sweet of Grand Rapids and was manufactured by the Manistee Manufacturing Company in 1888. The furniture factory was formerly located on Washington Street in the building complex known today as North Channel Brewing Co.

The full set was purchased by the President of the Bank of Mason (Michigan) and the shipping tags are still attached. The spoon carved solid Ash set, with pressed brass hardware, was later refinished.
