38/40 Bread wrappers

Other than for attempting to keep bread fresh, bread wrappers were used for admittance to movies during the 1930s and 1940s. These bread wrappers on display date from that specific time period.

Older Manistee residents often recall bringing bread wrappers to the Lyric Theatre, formerly located at 415 River Street, and getting free admittance to the movies.
